Try checking your brake pads. They could have gotten pitted or warped. This could be a cause plus it is easy to check. You could also have an ABS wheel / speed sensor going bad. If the ABS light has been on recently, you can have the DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) read by a tire shop, dealer, or other with the appropriate scanner (Autozone doesn't have one).
The DTC codes will indicate if you have a 'suspect' sensor.
I replaced one this very afternoon on my 2001 (left-front) and it took only 20 minutes. Bought the sensor from the dealer for $45.

P1537 : Intake Manafold Runner Control Stuck Open (Bank 1) From what I'm finding it could be as little as a vacuum leak or as much as a $200.00 part. Sludge in the manafold as well may produce the same code. Please let me know if you find a fix !
