EVERYONE knows about goat milk and babies. You can't feed 3-week old human babies goat milk either or they get hyperactive and start losing hair too. I tried it with my nephew and happened just like you said.

Actually, the reason is because goat milk contains antibodies that mice are allergic to. Their hair falls out because it is an allergic reaction to the foreign antibodies in the milk. The hyperactivity may or may not be due to the milk, or just because the mouse is getting older and more sexually mature. At 3 weeks old, mice are usually weaned anyway, so you should just start feeding solid foods such as grains (non-sugary cereals, barley, oats, hamster/mouse food from pet store).

Q: Why would a 3-week old orphaned baby mouse suddenly become hyperactive and start losing hair in patches after being fed goat's milk or heavy cream diluted with skim milk?
