They dont want a committment. Their parents could have had a bad relationship and they dont want the same for themselves. They like being a solo player. Engagement, marriage and living with someone is a personal choice, I had a neighbor guy like that, still is and what I saw, was that he was too self absorbed and selfish to share anything with anyone, too bad for him, he is missing out on a good life.
