One possible reason could be moister in the distributer cap. Cap could be cracked or just allowing moister to enter from the base...(on my friends 4X4 he applies a small amount of silicone around the base of the cap where it meets the distributer)After the engine heats up the moister dissapates and quits allowing arcing (shorts) inside the distibuter cap due to the excessive moisture.
My truck exhibits the same symptoms in rainy weather. Carbon buildup on the inside of the distributor cap becomes conductive when damp. This causes arcing from the rotor. Clean or replace the distributor cap and the arcing/misfiring should stop.
no
install a new one!!
no sir.
yes
In the transmission.
check distributer i had the same problem oil got into the distributer and messed it up whenever i went to a like 3 rpm then the car wouldn't run after sputtering for awhile
4cylinder 105-112 foot pounds v-6 65 foot pounds
Gas mileage also went down and I just replaced o2 sensors.
sounds like it needs a tune up or most of the time it is caused by a bad fuel injector
Try the rotor(under the cap). mine was burn't, talk about shake rattle and roll I've had 3 Nissan pu's greg also, check your vacume lines. Even one can cause sputter. There is a wire coming out of the bottom of your distribitur. if it gets frayed, it can have the same result. Check your fuel flow. dirty carb or fuel injectors will cause it to sputter and or die when put in gear.
it will fit... minor alterations (toyota engines work too), but you're much better off finding another z24 or rebuilding your old one.
Assuming that you are a safe driver, the long front end of a Nissan Rogue should in no way hinder your driving.
