Take off the black plastic piece in the speedometer (outside), take out the white plastic "Glass" of the speedometer (special tool required), then tight the screws around the speedometer screen. This panel is digital and require sometimes you tight or loose the screws who are located around that screen. I fixed myself my 94 Chevrolet without take off the entire panel. Good Luck!
Sounds like your dimmer switch has a short in it. It may not be fading but gradually turning itself down while you are driving due to vibrations etc. It could also be a short in your electrical system but usually it is a bad dimmer switch.
$1500 +/- depending on milage, condition, history, modifications etc.
Butterfly at the top of the carb. Controlled by Round black box at side of the carb. (Temp. sensitive)
On the passenger side valve cover. Should have a black hose coming from it to the throttle boday
Pull the inside door panel off, find the switches, their will be a black rectangular clip holding them in the armrest. jr
1994-1996 Chevy Caprice came with both a 4.3liter(265cu.in.) and a 5.7liter(350cu.in). There are two easy ways to tell, 1-with the hood open look at the emissions label above the radiator on the black plastic, it is a black and white label, look in the upper left hand corner and it will say 4.3 or 5.7 2-look at the eighth digit of your VIN if it is a W then it's a 4.3 if its a P then it's a 5.7
Do you mean the MAF sensor? That is the Mass Airflow Sensor and it is the square gray and black box that is next to the air filter. It has a small bundle of wires connected to it.
Checked with the dealer parts department and was informed the wire was in the connector plug for the turn signals on the steering column. It is a black wire and is marked pin "G".
Stand in front of the car with the hood open. Look at the center of the black fan shroud (right behind the Chrome hood ornament). Now look to the left
under the hood in black box
Black smoke is always too much gas. Its running too rich. Poor mpg! A good mechanic can scan it in a minute. Might be an O2 sensor failure causing 'open loop' all the time.
