Why would a guy who has only had a few girlfriends and is shy say online that he loves you and wants to be with you but when you talk on phone he doesn't say much?

The internet is a wonderful tool, but not without it's drawbacks. The internet desensitizes people. We can read what each one says, but never really get to know the true person. It's so easy to tell people things over the internet, but hard to come face-to-face for some. There are all different personalities on the internet, (some good/some bad) but your guy is shy. Some of the greatest lovers of all times wrote their feelings down on a piece of paper to the one they loved, but couldn't say "I love you" to their face. A guy can give you lip service and tell you he loves you to your face over and over again, but unless he treats you right then those words mean nothing. Your personality is going to be important here. You can be out-going, gab up a storm, make him laugh and don't have too serious a conversation with him on the phone until he gets use to you. Make him feel comfortable and give the poor guy a break. He's shy, not stupid! It would be wise to realize that there are many shy people out there, but once you get to know them they are usually the most laid-back and loyal people one would ever want to meet. My own hubby was so shy when we met that I went out on a date accompanied by his two best friends. We had a blast! Then, it was time for him to step away from the support of his buddies and we went out together alone for the first time. If anything could go wrong for the poor guy on that first date it did. The waitress was a brute because we ordered 2 glasses of wine and not a bottle. He went red in the face, but I picked up the beat, looked at the waitress and said, "You DO SERVE glasses of wine don't you?" She nodded and scurried off to get the wine. We were eating a spaghetti dinner and he didn't realize he should have used a fork and spoon (many people don't know this) and the spaghetti rolled off his fork and stuck to his shirt. I just couldn't help it, I started to laugh and finally he did too. I looked at him, giggled some and said, "To hell with it, lets get out of here and go see that movie." I took the pressure off of him. The rest is history. I prefer shy men and not cocky know-it-alls. Shy men have a lot going on in them and they are full of surprises. They can be passionate lovers while the guys that crow about how great there are usually fail the big test between the sheets. Shy men are less apt to cheat on you and also they seem to know where they are going in life. Good luck Marcy
