A weak or bad fuel pump. When youu turn a corner you cause the fuel in the fuel tank to move abruptly from one side of the tank to the other. The rushing movement of the fuel causes the pump inside the tank to work harder causing a week pump to shut down.

Answer:

Another possibility is the fuel pressure regulator.

If you are parked with the motor running, engage the parking/emergency brake. Turn the ignition off and restart the engine. The daytime running lights should not be on.

Turning the key to only the on position, the pump will only run for a couple of seconds to prime the system. Turning the key on and starting the engine, the pump will run and keep running as long as the engine is running.

No. The alternator has to be turning to produce the charging voltage. It only turns when the engine is running.
