Another possibility is the fuel pressure regulator.
tfi module on distributer fail.
If you are parked with the motor running, engage the parking/emergency brake. Turn the ignition off and restart the engine. The daytime running lights should not be on.
What type of vehicle? What type of engine? More information is needed.
Turning the key to only the on position, the pump will only run for a couple of seconds to prime the system. Turning the key on and starting the engine, the pump will run and keep running as long as the engine is running.
No. The alternator has to be turning to produce the charging voltage. It only turns when the engine is running.
you will have to open a injector on the engine to let the fuel bleed make sure all air is out the system
The alternator is run by a belt connected to the engine. When the engine is running the alternator is turning. The alternator is what produces the electrical current that charges the battery & powers everything electrical while the engine is running. the battery is mainly to start the engine.
All that is required to restart a 2006 Cummins is to add fuel and crank the engine. The fuel system is self bleeding.
A bad EGR valve should not cause the engine to not start. There is most likely another problem that is causing the engine to not start.
The engine has a crankshaft that is connected to all the pistons in the engine. When the engine is running the pistons are moving up and down and are turning this crankshaft. The crankshaft in turn is spinning a shaft connected to the transmission. The transmission is turning a driveshaft that is connected to the differential which in turn is turning an axle connected to the wheels.
Add gas, crank engine. If it doesn't start in about 30 seconds, it was not out of gas and you have a different problem.
Possibly the fan is not turning on until the engine is getting to hot, if you havn't already I suggest you take it in to get checked out
