The heat/ac switch in that new of a car is controlled off of vaccuum. The hose on the back of the temp. control may have a hole in it not allowing the vents to switch over. An auto a/c specialist can check it out anywhere $30 to $50.
check the temp guage if low change the thermostat
27Jun09: I had this problem on a 1999 Lumina LS. The answer is a vacuum leak. Mine was near the vacuum canister that controls the vents. The hose was replaced which (with labor) cost about $100. Just got it back and it solved the problem. DRB
Vacuum hose that runs over the thermostat housing is leaking at that location.
Check the floor heat vent and defrost to see if air comes from them. The vents will be vacuum controlled and a vacuum leak will make the vent doors divert air to the wrong place. Check the entire engine and climate control systems for a vacuum leak.
broken blend door
If the air vents of the Chevy trailblazer 2004 are not blowing air, have the fuel pump checked.
its a vacuum line it goes from the belt side at the back and runs behind the engine and down the drivers side and under the battery to the pod under the skirt in the front wheel
A couple possibilities are: low coolant level or bad water pump. just based on overheating and no heat, sounds like the thermostat is bad or it could be the water pump thermostat
If it still blows cold when it is at running temp, check the engine thermostat, its probably stuck in the open position.
i just replaced the thermostat in 2004 Chevy truck heater works fine now
most likely it's a bad thermostat, or your vents not working properly.
how do you fix chevy 20 ac to blow in correct vents
