most likely ground wire problem Bad bulbs?
i do not confess to know about dodge Dakota (English) but the most common problem for dimming rear lights when the brake is applied is a poor earth to the rear light assembly, the earth connection works fine for rear lights but overloads when brake lights used. check the connection of the earth to the light unit and if necessary remove and clean the both ends of the earth wire.Answeryou have an earth problem, check the wire that connects to the body on that lamp
Check for a blown brake light fuse. Check for a broken or out of adjustment brake light switch.
Check the fuses and if they are good then check the brake light switch.
Which light are you asking about? Dashboard location would help -- Brake lights mean the brake is being applied, but I'm sure that's not what you're asking.
I would guess that both of your brake light bulbs are burned out, and only the high mount bulbs are still working.
There is no brake light sensor. There is however a brake light switch. It may be mechanical, which would be located somewhere on the brake pedal lever. It can be bad or just out of adjustment. It can also be a pressure switch located on the master cylinder.
check your fuses.
no for sure not
you may have your brake light socket and your back up light socket in the wrong holes. Or you have a short but that would probably leave you with a blown fuse and no lights.
normal wear and tear. Brake light switch, bulbs or sockets.
Could be the brake fluid reservoir is low which would be telling you the brakes need attention. Could be parking brake not fully released
u have a short in ur wireing.
