Why would the cover for the pump basket on the swimming pool filter warp?

maybe your pump motor is overheating or running super hot and possibly kind of melting it. Or maybe their is air in the hoses and it is being ruined by forceful Well, the pump has been running dry for days. If it has warped the pump lid then it has warped anything within15" of the pump pot - that is the pipes, fittings into the pump, the pump basket, the pump pot that the basket sits in, the pump seal, impeller. All are probably trash.

Some olympic swimming pools dont even have covers in fact most of them dont but if they do then they would be as big as the swimming pool itself. Go onto oogle and research the one for the Bejiing olympic games a website will tell you how big it is and that will be how big the cover will be.

No definitely not The skimmer basket is there to catch gross material like leaves etc you clean it out after and/or during vacuming the pool. There is another basket in front of the pool pump that also needs emptying occasionally. These baskets are there to protect the impeller of the pump. With most standard pools you must first take the skimmer basket out in order to connect the vac hose. This direct hookup will result in better suction at the vac head at the other end of the hose.

The filter is located to the right of the throttle in the center pod(behind a cover to the right of where your foot would be while driving). You have to remove the the throttle then remove about 4 screws to remove the access cover. Once the cover is removed you pull the filter out install new and reverse removal procedure.
