The bulb outage module, or lamp outage module, is located to the left of the drivers left leg while sitting in the seat. It is just slightly up under the dash, clipped into a black housing. It should be a white colored box with one large electrical plug with many wires plugging into it. The switch above the brake light switch should be a cruise control deactivation switch, so that the cruise control turns off when the brake pedal is pressed.

How do you repair the cruise control on a 93 Nissan Sentra XE?

If the cruise control system fails to power on, i.e. the light on the cruise control switch does not light, check the fuse. If the fuse is not blown, there may be a problem with the wiring or the cruise control module itself. If the system powers on but it fails to keep the vehicle at speed when engaged, the vacuum hose between the cruise control module and the actuator may be faulty. The cruise control module can be found at the rear of the engine compartment near the driver's side door. A black vacuum hose runs from the module to the actuator, which is a round black plastic object which is connected with a cable to the throttle. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the actuator and inspect the end. If it is cracked, you may be able to cut 1/4" from the end of the hose and reconnect it.

1997 jetta cruise control fuse?

A. There is no "Cruise Control Relay" per se. The power for the cruise control comes through fuse #14 in the fuse box. From there it goes to the Cruise Control Switch. However, the Cruise Control Module is above the Fuse/Relay box, behind the dash board. There is a special cruise control tester, VAG 1466, that Volkswagen plugs into the system to pinpoint malfunctions. I think it would be worth the money to just have Volkswagen check the system if you find the fuse is not the problem.
