I just had the same problem. You have to pull the door panel off and take the power door lock actuator out and replace it. My local Chevy dealer wants 250 dollars for it. Its not a cheap fix. Maybe you can find it at your local junk yard. From slamming the door numerous times it breaks the plastic and the motor has to much play to push the power lock down.
It is on the drivers side of the transmission
Not sure which avalanche you have but I have the 03 Northface all you have to do to switch drivers is switch that remote you open the doors with.. On my friend's there was a driver one and driver two option on a button on the drivers door.
Did you and the driver switch off as drivers.
Maybe its your driver-side window regulator that stopped working.
B1023: DDM(driver door madule) Integral switch malfunction
The 2001 Chevy S 10 Blazer power door lock relay switch is located inside of the drivers side door. You will need to remove the drivers side door panel in order to access the door lock relay switch.
Sounds like a defective switch on the driver's door disconnected wires on either door or you have a lock out switch turned on... with driver door, i suggest pulling your "panel" off and verify your switch is actually connected and if it is, then replace the switch
The 1994 Chevrolet S 10 Blazer turn signal flasher switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The turn signal flasher switch will be above the gas pedal.
Replace driver's switch assembly
Could be the interior light switch on the dash is turned on or the door light switch is broken.
Check the safety switch at the top of the driver's door control module. If on, it locks all windows except driver's.
It is one of 2 or 3 on the firewall, driver side
