Headlight issue 1996 metro Headlight switch off day time running lights work. Parking light switch on headlights and parking lights work headlight switch on no lights work. Anyone have ideas?

I would guess the headlight dimmer switch on the floor board is bad or has a loose wire. Possibly the head light switch is bad. The headlight switch has a separate circuit breaker for just the head lights.

Probably the headlight switch is defective. When the car warms up, the metal contacts will expand, causing them to again make contact and turn lights on.
