YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS MIGHT NEED CHANGED ALSO, SINCE THEY ARE CONNECTED OR YOU CAN ALSO CHECK AND SEE IF THE FUSE'S ARE BLOWN. Another cause may be that the bulbs do not match. I have found when replacing one bulb replace the other one, other wise they tend to still not work. Or don't do what I did with my '99 Plymouth Neon and keep changing the reverse light bulb when you should be changing the turn signal bulb above it! You have to bend over a little more into the trunk to see it, lol. - The Brake light and the Turn signal are the same bulb, if you tried, I'm sure you would find you also have no left brake light. Personally, in my '96 Neon, I was having trouble with the turn signal not recognizing the rear bulb occasionally (signaled by a very quick turn signal speed inside the car). This is due to a switch that is in the steering column that is faulty. Eventually my light went out completely too, and I believe this switch is still the source of the problem. I am about to try to order a part and try to fix this myself.
I have a 2000 olds alero and the signal light only work sometimes, What would cause that?
You have a turn signal light-bulb out .
Assuming that you have checked all your fuses and they are ok, then you may have a short. I found one at my front passenger side signal light, when i turned the bulb holder my bulbs would start working.
If the signal light fuse is blown all the signal lights front and rear would not work. If you have one signal light out I would first suspect a bad bulb or bad connection.
Why would my 1984 Dodge pick up truck stall at the light when I stop

short circuits in the turn signal and brake light circuits
Start with checking the fuse, then the bulbs, then the brake light switch, then the wiring. If all that checks okay I would suspect the signal switch.
check for shorts in the system
In order to fix a Mitsubishi mirage signal light that doesn't turn off, you would need to understand the wiring system. This is a problem with the wiring and the circuit that connects the power from the battery to the signal light.
I would look at the REAR signal light on the same side of the car. It is probably not blinking at all and the bulb needs to be replaced.
One if by land and two if by sea is the signal you shall set for me! The signal's yellow light was more green than red, officer! Semaphore utilizes signal flags.
