Black smoke means the engine consumes too much gas - possible problem with fuel injection. Is your check engine light on? It could also be a problem with oxygen sensors.

White smoke = Coolant leak, head gasket is the likely culprit. Blue smoke = Engine burning oil. Black smoke = Engine running too rich, wasting fuel.

Could your lungs go black just from one smoke?

Well, in a nutshell, it is not certain that if you smoke one cigarette your lungs will go black because that is physically impossible. But if you smoke a lot (like maybe one pack) your lungs WILL turn black.

Why would black smoke come out of the tailpipe of a 1992 Honda Civic Dx when accelerating?

For diesels, black smoke is normal. For gasoline engines, black smoke indicates that the engine is getting too much fuel. Check air filter, oxygen sensor, possibility of a stuck injector, throttle position sensor. A lot of that stuff can be checked by reading the computer codes.

Why does a lot of white smoke emit at idle after a hard revving the engine?

You may have a blown head gasket. The white smoke may actually be steam from coolant leaking into the combustion chambers. If your car is using a lot of water, this would back up the blown head gasket theory. White smoke is coolant and black smoke is oil. I agree that this is likely a problem with your head gasket.

What are some of the best Audi deals?

The best Audi deal would probably be any used Audi. A car loses value the moment you drive it out of the dealership lot. If you can trade in your current vehicle that would, of course, lower the price even further.
