wires are connected opposite to what they should be in the switch
I had a similar problem with my Jetta. It turned out to be the ignition switch. It takes a little work to change it as the steering column has to come out to disconnect the ignition switch from the bottom of the tumbler( where the key goes in). i
Probably a issue with the multifunction swith (headlamp switch). You'll need to test the switch.
its the switch but i can use the switch when i start it with the ebrak on! it functions properly until the ebrakes off. then its just highbeams all the time from there. i have to actually shut off the car and start it with the ebrake on to do anything. if it was the switch wouldnt it not work properly ever?
most likely to be the switch in the car very common in pontiacs
possible multifunction switch, check your headlight bulbs first
yes, replace the switch
Check the switch on turn signal stalk - do they work when you pull back on stalk? Check relay in power distribution box
I'd be suspicious of the dimmer switch or a wiring connector between the dimmer switch and the headlights.
Headlight dimmer switch is defective
You need a turn signal switch, but spray WD 40 up through handle first & work back & forth, sometime's that cleans the contacts !
Great switch
u need to replace light switch
