yes, replace the switch
Replacing the malfunction display screen on a Peugeot 407 involves first removing the air conditioner control panel. This grants access to easily pop out and replace the lcd screen.
POSSIBLY A LOOSE GROUND WIRE AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR ON MINE,GOOD LUCK! The most likely cause on the late 80's Bronco & Ranger for headlight problems is the failure of the Dimmer switch connection. I had to completely replace the connector & switch on my '88 Bronco II to resolve the problem.
Turn on your headlights and try to sart the engine. If the lights go out the battery is probably bad. The contacts on the starter solonoid don't cause it to click.
don't be so quick blaming the starter you need to check the starter relay, your neutral safety switch, your ignition switch, your conections. your grounds. starter solenoid. if all that is good then look at the starter. they're pretty simple to replace the hardest part sometimes is getting to it ,but once you there is a piece of cake.(don't forget how the wiring goes) here is a simple test to determing what or where the problem lies. is called the headlight start test. turn on your headlights, try to start the car(have someone do it) look at the headlights if the go dim you may have high resistance somewhere in the circuit.(bad solenoid ,starter motor) if the headlights stay bright then you have an open in the circuit. which simply means bad neutral safety switch, relay, poor ground.(not the starter)
It cn be the switch, bulbs or wiring. I suggest if you intend to work on your car to get a shop manal on it from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM for about $20
You have a problem with your multifunction switch, probably the only way to fix it is to replace the switch.
The multifunction switch that allows you to turn you headlights is broken. The only way to find out is to replace it or take it to a mechanic.
try the relays under passanger footwell, sometimes come loose if they are kicked
instruction on how to replace headlights on 2006 murano
I am having the same problem with a 1994 model. The high beam indicator is also on. I believe it is related to the daytime running lights because when I turn on the headlights the lights get brighter. As I understand it daytime running lights are the highbeams at about 50% power. I need to find where that relay is and test/replace it. wish me luck...

i have a 300zx Nissan and i need to replace themultifunction switch i don't know how?
You need to periodically replace the headlights on your Chevy truck when the headlights start getting dim. You can purchase replacement headlights from retailers such as Parts Source.
98' headlights look better
It is true to say that Halo headlights bulbs can be replaced.
I have a 99 Sahara and have had to replace the switchint he dash twice. Fairly easy job about 30 buck or so. Your headlights must be on and they will only woirk when you have the low beams on. they turn off when you switch to highbeams.
You will have to take the bolts off the old headlights and simply replace the old headlight and screw the bolts back in.
