It can be stressful and demanding to be a cashier sometimes, especially when customers can be complete jerks for no reason. But the advantages are one, cashier tasks are very simple, easy to learn. Two, cashiers always in need. Even if our economyis crappy, stores are still open therefore cashiers are still working. They'll always be. Three, it builds people skills! Not only with customers but with your coworkers also Four, it builds experience on your resume. Five, you can work your way up to be head cashier or supervisor of the department of cashiers/merchandise. Hey, you could even work your way up to store manager, district manager, or company CEO. Well, I hope that brings up your spirits about being a cashier.
