I do not deserve to be a Command Sergeant Major in the Army. That honor is reserved for those who have earned it. The selection process is very competitive and only the best are chosen. Anyone who truly deserves to be selected for CSM, knows the answer to this question. That soldier does not need help from me or anyone else to provide an appropriate answer.

There are three ranks within the pay grade of E9 - Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major, and Sergeant Major of the Army. There is only one Sergeant Major of the Army.
FORSCOM does not have it's own Sergeant Major of the Army - there is only one SMA in the entire Army. The Command Sergeant Major of FORSCOM holds the rank of Command Sergeant Major, and this post is currently filled by CSM Ronald T. Riling. The current Sergeant Major of the Army is SMA Kenneth O. Preston.
There is a Command Sergeant Major rank in the US Army and US Marine Corps. There is no "Command Sergeant Major Leader" rank, however.
