Yes, as long as the model is a c/k model (c1500 c2500 c3500 k1500 k2500 k3500) or in other words a full-size pickup. Body panels can be interchanged between any 1988-1998 gm full-size pickup. However, a 1997 door will come with a different interior door panel and pwr window/ pwr lock/ pwr mirror switches.
SO... yes go ahead and buy the 97 chev door, but be sure to save your interior door panel and switches, plus the guts (wiring harness and such).
