The 2001 wheels will fit fine, but you must use 1999 tire pressure sensors, as they changed in 2001 and are not compatible with the earlier system in the 1999. I've gone through this also. The idiots at the tire shops have broken 3 out of 4 of mine off my 1995 6-speed LT1 Corvette coupe no matter how much I instructed them as to the possibility of damage by breaking the bead on the wrong area of the wheel. If you can get your hands on any of the other 3 (Left Front very hard to find) you can open up the case and modify the circuit board by cutting/soldering one of the little traces. In this manner you can change one into any of the others (although the label will still be the wrong color so you have to remember you did this!) I have the information for the older (original) sensors that came on the C4 Corvette (part numbers 10161854/5/6&7), so I would be able to supply you with that, but I'm not sure if the newer part numbers (88959444/5/6&7) are the same. However, I am almost certain the same mods are possible. A manufacturer would never make 4 completely different sensors when one could be easily modified. If you want the info, e-Mail: . Happy Vetteing!
What sensors??? Tire pressure sensors? You can reset the tire pressure sensors through the instrument cluster
The front wheels have abs sensors if applicable. The sensors would be mounted to the spindles not the rotors.
Yes, on the rear axle, on the trans, and possibly at the front wheels.
No, the target wheels for the cam and crankshaft sensors are different.
Yes
No, the internal tone wheels for the cam and crank sensors are different. The engine would not start.
There are no external airbag sensors on a 2001 Ram.There are no external airbag sensors on a 2001 Ram.
The front sensors are behind the front wheels, just find the electric wire that is behind the front wheels and it will be hooked to the sensors. If it is a 4x4 then the rear wheel sensor is screewed into the back of the transfur case. If it is not a 4x4 then it is in the transmission tail shaft housing where the driveshaft goes into the transmission.
The transmission speed sensors tell the trans computer how fast the inside parts of the trans are turning. The wheel speed sensors tell the ABS computer how fast the wheels are turning.
Sensors - journal - was created in 2001.
No... 1999 to 2001 will work only for those model years. we tried sticking a 98 into a 2001 and it fits but won't work because of the sensors
