You should be able get the 24's on the car with a 5" lift since b-body cars like the caprice have a large wheel well. But if you are looking for a decent turn radius or would like to go with 26's you could always go with 7" complete kit. That 7" kit comes with everything you need to correct your alignment after putting on big rims. If you still want to go with the 5" kit you should at least get extended shocks with it so you can keep your ride quality as smooth as possible.
I have a chevy caprice it is actually possible to put 24s on it. Make sure your transmission is up to date and shocks are as well.
You can but if you have the money for 24s then i would put a 5 inch lift from universalcarlifts.com on it. The kit is 800 bucks but you will save yourself money on tires and everything else in the long run. Stack your money and they will look a lot better and done the right way. Trust me I did it on my 96
I am a 1995 Chevy impala ss owner and you can fit 24" rims on your impala not only 24s but also 26" rims with the factory suspension idk about newer models after 1996 but 1995 to 1996 you can fit 24s to 26s on without lift kit.
You should start by looking up lift kits for that car. Hope this helps.
you shouldn't have to use any lift at all. i have 24s on my 2000 1500 ext. cab and have no trouble with rubbing. doesnt like to stop though
You can put knuckles under the springs. These are called spacers. Here is an eBay link to buy some that will allow you to put 24s on with no rub. http://cgi.eBay.com/ebaymotors/universal-car-lift-spacer-kit-caprice-24-22-rims-wheels_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33585QQitemZ8020173870QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
no it will not, i currently have 24s on my caprice and had them on for like 1 year already and NO your tranni wont mess up..! and i always burn out with them lol you should be fine.
Yes they can acually with the right lift kit you can put 24s on it .
They can fit with minor adjustments. I currently have 24s on my 1996 Chevrolet Caprice. If you already have good shocks and springs, you can go the cheap way and get 3 inch lift cups for like $100. If not, You are gonna have to upgrade to new Heavy Duty shocks and springs and that can cost you about $700
Yes most definitly. A 5 or 7 inch lift wheel clear it. Depending on the offset and size tires you may even have to cut the inner fenders. Check with universal car lifts. I own an 83 impala and switch the suspension with their coil spings and shocks to fit 24s' on the box chevy. I didn't want it to high and I didn't want them to rub. It sits just right.
yes but you would have to put a lift kit they have these spacacers well their called cups you put on top of you struts and ten bolt on to ur car gives you nice 1-3 inch lift to be able to tuck 24s with out dat monster truck lift kit runs around 300 and 24s run around 1600
Yes
