According to the "Related Question" below, the 2000 models use 5x7 speakers in both front and rears. I've seen many 6x8 speakers that mount into the 5x7 opening, but no 6x9.
Bear in mind that only means the 5x7 will mount without drilling any new holes. If you have a drill, you should go in a take closer look and see if these 6x9's can fit the space anyways.
