No the European PS3 is set up for a different power grid and television system both of which will still prevent the internet from working in the USA even if you get a TV and power source. The internet games in the USA will not be compatible with the European games set up

Theoretically it would work if you had the right power cable, because the plugs are different in Europe, or you could buy an adapter for the plug to make it American, as far as discs they should work, just don't try putting dvds from Europe in it.
