it is located on right front of block. First remove your fuel lines, the remove the retaining bolts holding it on the pin will slide out after the pump. coate the pin with grease and reinstall in its hole(grease will hold it for you so you can get the pump in) the install pump and lines
Small block and big block fuel pumps and fuel pump rods are the same on all Chevy V8's up to the mid 1980's when fuel injection and new block designs started on the market. Please note that this does not include special cam motors (roller cams, etc) that do take a different (special) rod.

Some do, some don't. The distributor, starter and alternator fit, the water pump does not. The mounting brackets are all different.
In the muscle car era, 370, for the LT1. Currently, the 427 small block in the vette, comes in at around 600, on pump gas.
From the oil pump, through the block to the first main, then through the journal to the rods, then through the journal to the next main, ect.
On a 1982 Chevy Citation the fuel pump is mounted on the lower engine block.
