Only a 1994 3100SFI engine. Not a 1994 3.1L MPFI (still used in Cavaliers in that year).
If you're going through the trouble of swapping the engine, you should go with something newer/bigger. Try a 3400SFI instead. It'll fit and bolt directly to everything your old engine did.
