Yes a lt1 will fit in a 1991, but i believe the motor mounts are a little different for the lt1. You cannot transplant it though without an PCM from an lt1, which needs a 4l60E transmission to control the transmission and engine codes. There are standalone kits available but they cost more than a PCM.
Yes, it was actually optional
Yes
Oh yea :)
I believe that the both the 96 vette and caprice use the LT1 (I think 96 was the last year for the LT1). In that case, yes.
For a V8, LT1 is the most common.
260 HP and 330lb. tq. on the LT1 in the LS Caprice
Yes
in 92 caprice did not come with lt1 only corvette had lt1 in 92
Not unless someone put it in there. They didnt put the lt1 in the caprice until 94. Dont let anyone fool you either, the lt1 has a very distinctive look.
If it's an LT1, it's rated at 260HP.
The 1994 Chevy Caprice did not come with an LS1 style motor. It came with either a 4.3liter LT1 V8 or a 5.7liter LT1 V8. Tell me which motor you have and I'll get you the torque specs. I do know the horsepower rating for both engines off the top of my head. 200hp for the 4.3 and 260hp for the 5.7
no because the lt1 has a different transmission bellhousing
