I assume you mean the starter solenoid. It is mounted right on the starter itself.
A Wrangler or Cherokee could have either a 2.5L or a 4.0L . A Grand Cherokee could have a 4.0L or a 5.2L.

No. 1995 cherokee engine is fuel injected with different gas tank, fuel pump, engine computer, water pump and wiring harness. 1990 wrangler has a carb.

The starter is located underneath the passenger side of the vehicle and bolted to the transmission. Follow the big red wire from the battery.
