I own a 1997 Tahoe and I have a 2003 trans, no fit
Yes, they both use the 4L60E transmission. However, it won't work if you're putting a transmission from a 2WD vehicle onto a 4WD drive vehicle or vice versa.
Actually any transmission will connect to any engine. all you need is a handy dandy adaptor.
The 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe has a 4-speed automatic.
How many quarts of transmission fluid does a 2004 Chevy tahoe take
4l60e
That would be the 4L60E / 4L65E transmission.
NO. Not even close.
dextron iii or vi
The automatic transmission in the 2005-2006 GTO was the Hydramatic 4L65E, as opposed to the 2004 GTO with the Hydramatic 4L60E. The manual transmission was for the 2004-2006 GTO was the Tremec T-56 with M12 gearset.
The 2004 Avalanche 1500 (with the 4L60E transmission) has a refill capacity of 5.0 quarts. The 2004 Avalanche 2500 (4L80E transmission) has a refill capacity of 7.7 quarts.
If it's a 1/2 ton then it is a 4L60E / 4L65E If it's a 3/4 ton then it is a 4L80E / 4L85E
In 2004, my 99 Tahoe had a thump when i changed gears. I changed the u joint and that was it, total cost 12.00. its the yoke sliding in and out of your transfer case.. there is no real fix for it, its been a problem on Tahoe's and blazer, gm says to grease the yoke which does help but after a month or so of driving the noise comes back again...
