I have an 88 Z24 that has a 91 3.1 V6 put in. The motors are essentially the same. Make sure you follow the list to get everything plugged back in and change the coolant quick connect under the exhaust cross-over while it's out. It's a common failure and is easy to change while the motor is out.
No
Maybe a lug nut would probably interchange........
THE FIRING ORDER FOR A 2.8 V6 88 CAVALIER IS 1,2,3,4,5,6, THE COIL PACKS ARE 1-4 6-3 2-5
it will fit... minor alterations (toyota engines work too), but you're much better off finding another z24 or rebuilding your old one.
i have an 89 and it ran like it was on 5 cylinders.replaced 1 of 3 coils and fixed it yours might be diffrent tiigghhtt ssqueeezeee.
88 + 31 = 119
100*31/88 = 35.2272727... recurring.
GM vehicles do not have a fuel shut off/inertia switch
The GCF is 1.
your lifter could be lose and need tighting i had a 91 z24 and that was a common prolem for me once every 6 months i had to do that
No it did not. The closest thing was a white vinyl interior available on some sunbird convertibles. The only option for a Z24 from 88-94 was a cloth interior; in black, blue, tan (rare), brown (rare), or graphite. Some 88-94 RS model cavaliers had partial vynil interiors as well, but no leather. seat tracks from cars like Grand Ams with leather seats can be modified to fit the J-body, as can seats from other cars. The only bolt-on leather seats I can think of are the leather seats from Cadillac Cimmarrons, they will fit as they are J-bodys along with the cavaliers.
