can i yous transmission Ford focus
can i yous transmission ford focus
No they are different. The zx2 injectors wont fit an Escort head.
Yes, if the 1999 Ford Escort also has an automatic transmission. The transmission type is a F-4EAT Application: * 1991-2002 Ford Escort * 1998-2003 Ford ZX2 Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-4EAT_transmission
i think the biggest engine you could fit in a 1993 ford escort gt 1.8 is a 1998 ford escort zx2 2.0 turbo engine with intake manifold and coilovers to get hp that you can actually manage in the car. but then you would have to completely redo the wiring harness from a zx2 to a 93 escort and get the transmission from the zx2 to fit also in the 93 escort, with the right motor mounts youll be set.
No they are totally different.
Seats out of another zx2. Seats out of a Ford Escort lx. Seats out of a Mazda MX3.
I believe that only 96-99 can be swapped 2000 and newer will not fit correctly.
i have both a zx2 and a sedan in my driveway. it looks like theres no way they're gonna fit eachother.
Not unless the 1998 body is a ZX2.
Yes, they will interchange. If you compare the part model numbers, you will find they are exactly the same part.
All ZX2 transmissions are interchangeable. The 97 and up Ford Escort Sedan manual transmission will fit the manual transmission ZX2 with minor modification. There are 2 or 3 transmission to engine bolts that will not line up. The starter mounting holes on the Sedan transmission are the same except one is threaded. The threaded hole will need to be drilled out to accept the starter bolts from the ZX2. Everything else lines up and works fine. It is important to note that the gearing in the Sedan is different. The gearing is taller and spaced farther apart. You will lose acceleration and gain MPG. You cannot use the Sedan or any other Escort transmission if you have an automatic. The 4EAT (TC) transmission seems to be exclusive to the ZX2.
