The Edelbrock Performer and Performer RPM would be good choices. Also there are a couple Weiand dual plane intakes that would work well.
A 600 carb should work good up to about 5500 rpm. If you plan to rev over 5500, a 750 carb would be a better choice.
A small holley carb with vacuum secondaries should work fine or even a replacement quadrajet would be a good choice. Something in the 600cfm range for a small block motor should be more than enough. Unless you modify the intake manifold with some welding an adapter plate is required to install a Weber or Holley 5200 carb on a Mazda B2200 or B2000. The adapter plate for the Weber 32/36 will work to install the Holley 5200 as well. See the attached links for additional information.
well a 750 vacuum secondary will work good tuned in but really get the power out a 650 double-pumper these are holley carbs. and a msd ignition system oh yeah, play w/timing to get every thing out of the engine.
If it has a carb. i would use choke and carb cleaner..follow labeled instructions.....if that doesnt work change your fuel filter, and see where that gets you!!
unless you are willing to install the ecm and wiring harness, you will have to replace the distributor with a pre 1980 distributor. reason for this is to get vacuum advance. you also will have to replace intake manifold with a manifold for a carb. a edelbrock and a edelbrock carb work well for me. the rest should work. also use the exhaust manifolds from the 76. good luck
Sure. Although the choke will at the very least, need adjusting if you can get it to work at all. You might need to adjust and/or re-jet the carb as well. But assuming that the carb is good, you can just bolt it on and it WILL run, just no telling how well it will run. I've done it before with no mods to the carb and it ran just fine. Other times, I had to fiddle with it to get it to run right. Since they are both 307's, chances are it will work just fine other than the possible choke issues.
1985 power ram never came with a 440, but i did an engine swap in mine, and i'm currently getting 6 mpg, but the carb needs going over. just recently i've put a holley street avenger 870 cfm and in the midst of finding a header setup that will work, but I wont be able to get a good estimate until i get the headers and tune the new carb
try to dial Dow your your gas intake on your carb, if that dosent work maybe your timing is off
from my experience the 750 cfm will dump too much fuel you should go with a 600 cfm. i prefer the holley. you should only go with a 650 or 750 cfm if you have 400 horsepower of more.
Yes, They are the same. GM uses the same parts for Pontiac and Chevy, although the carb may be different therefore the carb from the Pontiac will not always work with a Chevy.
