how do you rebuild 1990 bonneville transmission

The transmission dipstick is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, adjacent to the evaporator case.

User Avatar

Assuming you have a automatic transmission the dipstick should be located under the hood, behind the engine, on the passenger side.

Yes, there is a transmission in a 1990 Mazda RX7 convertible.

The automatic transmission temperature sensor, on your 1990 Mitsubishi, is located on the top of the transmission. The sensor will have to electrical wires going to it.

when gm took over Toyota they did a lot of cars with the same engines. look at the engines in both, if they are the same engine then they should be nearly the same transmission

I found a listing for a 1988 Mazda B2600 ( 2.6 L 4 cylinder engine / 3 speed automatic transmission / 4X4 ) and listings for 1990 through 1993 Mazda B2600I ( 2.6 L 4 cylinder engine / 4 speed automatic transmission / 4X4 )

if it is an automatic then yes, if it is a standard transmission then no

No it will not interchange. You need an Accord transmission from a 1990-1993.

Ford offered two transmissions that year. A 5-speed manual transmission was standard with the 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine as well as with the 2.9-liter, V-6 engine. A 4-speed automatic was optional. A third engine, a 4.0-liter, V-6 offered the 4-speed automatic transmission only.

It is easier to remove the engine separately. The torque converter bolts must be removed to separate.

If you are referring to an automatic transmission drain plug there isn't one.

I'm not a mechanic / technician but I read once that the modulator valve for the automatic transmission has a vacuum line connected from the valve to the engine and that transmission fluid can be sucked into the engine if something goes wrong with the valve

On the Regina engine the Transmission dipstick is located up by the driver side towards the windshield, If you hace the Boshe engien it will be tward the back of the engine on the driver side. most of the time it blends in with the hoses and wires.
