No
The fuel pump switch is what tells the fuel pump what pressure to pump fuel into the fuel rail
Power Directed through oil pressure switch to fuel pump. Possible bad oil pressure switch.
NO...but there is a fuel tank pressure switch that tell your fuel pump when it has the proper pressure to turn the pump off once pressure is achieved.
Chevy did not use them on there trucks. Check fuel pump pressure, fuel pump FUSE and FUEL pump relay.
The fuel pump does not normally have to be "reset". If the vehicle is in a crash that causes the inertia switch to trip, the switch will have to be reset before the fuel pump will run.
It does not have an inertia type fuel pump shut off switch. General Motors uses the oil pressure switch. If the oil pressure drops below 3 psi, it shuts off the power to the fuel pump,
Chevy did not use are have an Inertia switch. Ford only used them. You either have a bad fuel pump or fuel pump relay if you have no fuel pressure.
fuel pump oil presssure switch is at back of motor just under the dist.On a v8
There is not one!!! The fuel pump is controlled by the oil pressure. When the oil pressure goes to 0psi the fuel pump shuts off.
probably fuel pump.
There isn't one. The fuel pump receives its power from the fuel pump relay or the oil pressure switch (they are connected in parallel so that power can be provided from either source). The oil pressure switch provides power to the pump when the oil pressure reaches 4 PSI. The Fuel Pump relay supplies power to the pump when it receives a signal from the ignition switch. They are no other switches or interupts in the circuit
A bad fuel pump can cause stalling. The oil pressure will show low oil on the lights or gauges but if the pressure is ok then the switch should not cause stalling.
