If the oil pump has failed...yes definitly. your crank has been starved for oil and has worn or spun the bearings. time for a lower engine rebuild and new oil pump.
A bad bearing in the water pump could be one possibility.

Bad fuel pump, loose fuel pump, loose baffle or foreign matter in the tank.

if it makes a loud whinning noise when you turn power steering pump bad or needs fluid if not it might be a popped belt

There could be loosened internal mounts (connecting rods, pistons, pins, crankshafts or other related parts) in the compressor causing the banging or knocking noise. A simple call to a technician should resolve the issue.
