I was looking at a ( 1998 ) Mercury Grand Marquis Owner Guide and it shows the body as being ( 78.2 inches wide ) I'm not sure how much the outside mirrors would add to that
I just had a throttle position sensor installed in my 1999 mercury grand marquis. I feel certain it is located in the same place on your 1998. Look up top behind the air intake tube (large hose) leading to your throttle body. It is a rather small black hard plastic item. www.autoclinix.com is a good website for printing out the directions for installing all parts on your mercury grand marquis. Good Luck, Ms. Lena
where is the location of the body control module on a 1998 grand am se
The Grand Marquis is body-on-frame (same platform as the Lincoln Town Car, the classic American limo) and the 300 is unibody. Why would the 300 be sought after and not the Grand Marquis? They compete in the same price range.
Crown is by Ford, and Marquis is by Mercury. Same company. Just the body style. Like Chev and Pontiac.
Located on throttle body
No, different body styles. No, different body styles.

That is the body code for the European version of the ZJ body that was sold from 1993 to 1998.
Open the hood of the car and find the idle air control valve. The valve is located on the Gran Marquis' throttle body. The idle air control is a cylinder with a wire connector plugged into it. If needed, refer to your repair manual for an exact diagram.
