Eating more calories than you burn up causes you to gain weight. If you can burn up a high carb diet, you won't gain weight.
A lot, having a high carb diet can make you gain weight easily. A low carb diet where you eat whole wheats and proteins will help you maintain a healthy weight.
Yes it is possible. Recent studies in animals have linked diet sodas or sugar substitutes to weight gain. Apparently the diet soda will not cause the weight gain but it will prompt behaviors of over eating.
A no carb diet will help you lose weight quickly. The fat and protein you consume in place of carbohydrates will give your body plenty of fuel to gain muscle mass if that is something you wish to do.
Carbohydrates provide calories for the body. These calories can be used for energy. Some people gain weight when eating a high-carb diet.

Obviously any food if consumed in vast quantities could cause your calorie intake to exceed your expenditure, resulting in weight gain. However as a low fat low carb high protein food you really would have to go some to get fat only on salmon. It would in fact be quite a good choice for the basis of a high protein low carb diet.

does lantus cause weight gain
does Apidra cause weight gain?
yes it does cause weight gain!
These work just fine. I do not know why anyone would tell you to eat an apple or cottage cheese which has more sugar than the NO sugar in the low carb shake. Unreal. I simply would not have too many of them, especially if you are not very active. I do a lot of weight training and live on a low carb diet and have no trouble with them at all. I also have a friend who does NOT work out and she has managed to lose some weight on them. Just keep a balanced diet and watch your calorie intake if you are not on a carb watching diet. The carb control shakes are fine. Low calorie. Zero sugar and 2 carbs. You cannot go wrong with them at any hour.
