The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a SUV made to be a truck. It has the comforts one would expect from the Ford Explorer, with the added bonus of the back being a truck bed.
A Ford Explorer Sport is a 2 door model, while the Explorer Sport Trac is a 4 door model with a small pickup bed.

There is no question here!
no, the tacoma bed is narrower than the ford.
The Toyota pickup with the largest wheelbase and bed is the Tacoma. You can read inforation on the Tacoma and all of its features at www.toyota.com/tacoma.
I have an older Sport Trac. If its the same, the screws are hidden in the bed of the truck. Pop off a cover and then remove the screws to the tail light. I just had to replace a bulb in '07...brake light out. Open the tailgate...the screws are right out in the open, just be very careful taking them out they can fall between the body of the truck and the bed liner...if possible use a magnetic tool.
While different models will have somewhat different instructions, the most common way is to add brackets to the inside of the truck bed that the extender will fit into. Once this has been put in place properly, the truck extender should slid out when in use, and slide into the truck bed, behind the tailgate, when not in use.
The Toyota Tacoma's bed dimensions are 41.5 x 56.7.
The sport trac is part part truck, part SUV. Exterior has a truck bed, not big...but hauls what I need to haul. Interior is SUV...seats 5 comfortably. Sport tracs come in two generations...Gen 1 runs from 2001 to 2005. There were no St's made in 2006. Gen 2 runs from 2007 to present. Gen 1 parts will not fit a Gen 2 and visa versa. Gen 1 ST's have tons of aftermarket modifications, while Gen 2's aftermarket mods are still somewhat limited. For more information...The Sport Trac Club or Sport Trac Web Site...lots of information.http://sporttracclub.21.forumer.com/index.phphttp://www.mysporttrac.com/mysporttrac/ Both sites have tons of information and photos from actual ST owners.
If they both have the same length bed, yes it will fit.
There are two bolts that hold the tail lights in place. First, open your tailgate. If you have a bedliner, the two screws are behind it. If you have a bed extender, the bolts that secure the taillight are the same bolts that secure the brackets for the bed extender. Refer to your owners manual, page 8-35. Good luck.
