I have a answer regarding this if you can bear with the story; Before I joined, I was being treated for AD/HD during school and was prescribed Adderall. Luckily, it was swept under the rug by the psychiatrist, but now I can't bring up my AD/HD issues unless I want to face being discharged. This also means no more Adderall treatment. Long story short; The USCG's very strict and cut and dry policy is if you require stimulant AD/HD medication(Adderall, Dexedrine or any amphetamine) to function normally, this will disqualify you from joining, or face you with a medical discharge if you're already a member. It's extremely unfortunate :(
