no, they have to be chemically removed. Look at Google; United Chemical in California. It may be worth a call to them. I have used their process for years with great satisfaction. If done right and by a person who knows the process and when to stop the process the pool will look close to new. I say close because you never will achieve the same look as it was when it was new. However, sometimes it will look even better as quoted by some of my accounts. Contact me at my message board if you have further questions.

if the mold is brown then its okay but if its not brown then throw them away!
