Some females bully the males, which of course, makes the male avoid the female. However, if both cats are in heat, and both cooperative, the mating process should go just fine. first they mate and then they lie on top of each other then they lick each other then if the male really wants to they may mate again and keep on mating again and again for a couple nights once the female is done and wont allow it she wil run away. Then so many months later whe wil have kittens :)
