It all depends on the cd changer you want to install, also the module that your car uses must work with the with the cd changer.

More than likely the answer is no.
Yes you need to get an aftermarket head unit with a remote control, Best Buy installs them, I had one installed in my fathers Durango a few years back for Christmas. His controls on the wheel still work.
It doesn't control anything. It is the connection for the cruise switches, horn switch, radio controls(if equipped) and airbag that allow the steering wheel to turn and there to still be a connection.

You might want to check out the Crutchfield website (www.crutchfield.com), particularly this page that I found by searching the site for steering wheel controls; http://www.crutchfield.com/S-87x9PMzbwPt/cgi-bin/prodsearch.asp?sp=lnav&cm_re_o=TkB_zkEzM*kwufEzM*lwzygt&search=steering+wheel+controls&go.x=0&go.y=0 This shows some add-on electronics which will allow you to use your steering wheel controls on an after market stereo. A clock spring, when you are talking about vehicles, is a device that allows all the wires that are connected to the steering wheel, such as horn, turn signals, headlights, cruise control, and radio controls to still work when the steering wheel is turned. It makes all the connections by way of a device that can turn and still stay connected.A clock spring, when you are talking about vehicles, is a device that allows all the wires that are connected to the steering wheel, such as horn, turn signals, headlights, cruise control, and radio controls to still work when the steering wheel is turned. the special wiring harness that you purchased is used for accessories such as your radio controls in the steering wheel, door chimes, and the beep for when your lights are still on. Other than that, if you have the harness itself hooked up to the speakers RIGHT and the CD player RIGHT, then you should have no problems and no worries.
The first thing to look for is a blown fuse. Then there should be a master reset done on the computer to reset the error this should resolve the problem.
Almost definately. I had the radio cassette in my wifes 02 Clio replaced by a Renault CD player and it worked with the steering wheel controls. Not sure about the procedure (we had it done at the dealership we bought the car from as an add in when we bought it) so don't know what if anything else they had to do.
