The inertia switch has tripped. It is in the Passenger side (UK) just under the glove box on the side. Remove the cover and reset by pushing down the button.
it's either not getting fuel, or not getting spark. check to see if the fuel pump inertia switch has tripped, it's in the right front passenger area below the dash, just above the carpet in the right hand corner. If the button on top has popped up push it down to reset the switch.
Yes, sometimes a faulty ignition switch can cause the engine to not fire. Also, a bad spark park can the engine to not fire.
Dodge does not use inertia/reset switches.
You most likely tripped the NSS =Neutral Safety Switch. I'm guessing you saw a spark while you were messing with your lights. A mechanic can fix this for you.
- fuel pump inertia switch " tripped " ( do you see a fuel reset light turned on in your gauge cluster ? ) - blown fuse for fuel pump / fuel pump relay - bad fuel pump relay - plugged fuel filter - bad fuel pump - wiring connection to fuel pump
need more info . spark , fuel ???
First of all, that vehicle doesn't have a fuel cutoff (inertia) switch. Spray some carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body and try to start it. If it tries to run briefly you probably have a failed fuel pump. If that gives you no response, check for spark. If you have no spark check for DTC's. The DTC's may show a bad crank sensor.
it will fire in the wrong order and the engine will essentially fight itself
petrol is there, spark also the but on the dash i dont see a check engine light when i switch the car ON
A bad connection inside the ignition switch will keep it from turning the engine over.
no... no spark???? module, crank sensor??? but no such saftey system. only on fuel, enertia switch
