As long as the 350 block is under the year 1986. Then all of the external engine parts will interchange. The heads and intake will also interchange. The CRANK AND RODS AND PISTONS WILL NO INTERCHANGE.
no
on the left side of the 1979 chevy!
This is the block casting number for a Chevy 305, build between 1976 and 1979.
Yes. It's a relatively straight-forward swap.
Parts for a 1979 Chevy truck can be found at a variety of places. Some of these include FinditParts, Stylin' Trucks, AutoPartsWarehouse, JC Whitney, Craigslist, Kijiji, and eBay.
Your probably after the serp., system, I would guess. You can use the pulleys, however, they will different items they drive, due to smog, and other requirements, so, the actual configuration will differ, thus, so will belt length. No big deal there, just use a tape measure, and get a good parts guy.....
It is screwed into the top of the engine block RIGHT behind the distributor towards drivers side.
yes.....and thats a perfect match.. it actually boosted the apperance and increased gas consumption and made the head lights brighter.
Yes it will a 383 is still a small block chevy. The only thing that makes it different then a 350 is the rotating system,( THE PARTS INSIDE ) It will bolt right in there. NEUTZ he is correct. the only difference is the crank. it is from a 396.
Yes it will. But you will need to know if the 454 requires a flywheel that is either internal or external balanced.
You can use the pulleys, however, the 91 will probably have smog equipment that the 79 does not. You will have to get a shorter belt, as well.
Cars did not get catalytic converters until 74. Trucks were 81, or 82.
