Without germination in the plant, the plant is not able to grow. The germination is the begining of life for the seed plant however the rate of germination is not directly related to rates of plant growth one can find speedy germinating seeds which grow slowly and vice versa.zaf.
no. a seed has already gone through sexual reproduction because a seed is created by a pollen sperm fuzing with the egg of a plant. Once the abscisic acid surrounding the seed is washed off the seed starts to use the food from the endoderm to grow.
in epigeal germination the cotyledon is pushed above the ground, the hypcotyle is long and the epicotyle is short whereas in hypogeal germination the cotyledon stays below the soil, epicotyle is long and hypocotyle is short.
No the shell is apart of its skeleton, like it's spine and ribs A turtles shell is built into bone structure. Parts of the backbone and the ribs, among other bones, make up the inner structure of the shell. This means that it cannot get out of its shell, as the shell is not separate from the body.
no but it will take longer for it to grow..sadly :[
Natural means by wind, birds etc.Usually the fruit with shell is dropped off the ground and grow.Birds and animals may take the seed and disperse it.
as the seed begins to grow the cotyledons shrivel up and drop off. by this point the stored food in the cotyledon is used up and the leaves can carry on photosynthesis
YES
A TANGELO COMES FROM A SEED THAT YOU GROW AND KEEP IN A HEALTHY HABITAT IT GROWS ON A TREE AND WHEN IT IS READY YOU TAKE IT OFF THE TREE AND ENJOY WITH YOUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS.
Oddly enough, a turtle's shell is actually attached to it's body. It is not like it can take it off and find a new one. A turtle's shell is actually part of it's vertabre. It's like extended bone. Otherwise, it couldn't grow as the turtle does.
Technically, yes.
First, you take off the top thing, then you put the cherry in your month and spit out the seed. Or you can take out the seed first and then eat it.
The only way to grow an orange tree is from an orange seed. Answer: Orange trees are propagated from cuttings. Basically this means cutting a small piece of a branch off and sticking it in the ground and it will grow roots. (It's alot more complicated than that but that is the basic idea) If you grow an orange tree from a seed it will not be 'true' to the parent. This means that if the seed comes from the most beautiful tasting orange the tree that the seed produces may grow horrible oranges.
Nothing needs to die to produce seed, although anualls die off after a year as it is their life cycle.
Turtle shells are a part of a turtle's body! A shell is basically made of bones (60 meshed together) and their spine is actually embedded into its shell. Contrary to what they show in cartoons, turtles can't take of their shell any more than you can take off your skin.
I'm no expert, but I believe yes: From: http://www.answers.com/topic/epigeal In botany, a seed is described as epigeal when the cotyledons of the germinating seed expand, throw off the seed shell and become photosynthetic above the ground. The converse, where the cotyledons remain non-photosynthetic, inside the seed shell, and below ground, is hypogeal. And http://www.answers.com/topic/cotyledon Cotyledons may be either epigeal, expanding on the germination of the seed, throwing off the seed shell and become photosynthetic above the ground; or hypogeal, not expanding, remaining below ground and not becoming photosynthetic. The latter is typically the case where the cotyledons act as a storage organ, as in many nuts and acorns. And http://www.answers.com/topic/germination
Turtles do not 'get into' their shells, they are born in their shells which are part of their bodies (they can not come off) and their shells grow with them.
