A car usually won't run if the fuel pump is bad; fuel injected cars (all modern cars) need a certain amount of fuel pressure to run, and the electric pumps normally fail all at once. Rarely will a pump partially fail, providing only low pressure. When this happens the car will idle but the further you open the throttle the worse it'll run. If this symptom is happening to you, though, it's much more likely to be something else (weak spark, bad fuel pressure regulator...)
If fuel pumps were not necessary, there would not have any on your car! If there is a problem with your fuel pumps, your car will not start, or it will start but it won't run for very long.
If the car is not getting any fuel, it will not run.
While fuel pumps can go bad with age, a common failure cause is letting the car run out of gas. The pump can go bad in just a few minutes if there is no gas flowing through it.
on cars that run with fuel injection it would be the fuel pump, or high performance cars that use electric fuel pumps.
A bad fuel cap can make your check engine light go on. It shouldn't cause your car to run rough or die.
Bad fuel or water in the fuel or clogged fuel injectors might cause a car to run with less speed. This might also happen if the car has a problem with the fuel pump.
No, but it could run with a weak fuel pump.
no a bad fuel pump will not make your run hot it will cause it not run like it should and eventually stop running at all
More than likely it is the fuel pump relay that is bad.
I think your car has fuel injection and the fuel pump isn't working. Listen at the fuel filler and when you turn the ignition on the pump should run for 2 seconds. If not check the relay first then the pump. They are known for bad fuel pumps.
bad fuel will cause engine run rough stall out a lot vechicle wont start
A bad fuel pressure regulator will cause the car to stall or not run .
