The winner-take-all system affects candidate in such a way that limited campaign funds will be used only in states the candidate thinks he will win in. Campaigning across the map is taken for granted.

How does the "winner take all system" effect a candidate's campaign ?

I can answer that if that's what you meant by the question.

It means that it must be an all out effort, as there is NO 2nd Place.

You win or you lose. There is no silver medal, or consolation prize...not even a choice of gifts from the Spiegel Catalog of Gift's , Chicago, IL, 60608.

It's a zero-sum game . 1 winner, and many loser's. It's winner take all.
