On a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker, the starter relay is built into the starter. The starter is located on the front of the engine, behind the engine mount.
Postive battery cable should connect to the starter relay (solenoid)
Starter relay is mounted on the passenger side firewall just about 8" inches below inside edge of battery platform --may be obscured by the wiring running just above--God Bless--Dad the Mechanic
go to your closest auto parts store and buy a haynes manual for your model and year bronco , wiring schematic is in rear of book

The starter relay for 1990 Ford Rangers is located above the front passenger side tire wheel well. It it bolted to the support wall right in front of the fuse box.
The relay is in a block of relays on the left side of the engine compartment just back of the air cleaner. The relay cover should tell you what position the fuel pump relay is in.
I have a 1990 bronco 2, but i just had my starter rebuilt. it was relatively simple. its located underneath the engine. sort of close to the cab. but there are two bolts that connect it to the bronco. then there is a bolt that connects a wire to it. first disconnect you battery though

Its located on the outside of the wheel well, behind the oil bag... a wire runs from your starter directly to the relay, which is a small inch squared black box.
