no a 258 amc and ford 302 have same bolt pattern
The answer is no. A 302 or 5.0 will NOT bolt up to a 4.6 Liter 4r70w transmission or visa versa.
no, motor mounts are different as well as the transmission bell housing
no the c4 is not compatible with the 302 you would need a c6
No. It's physically impossible and the 6cyl tranny wouldn't be able to stand up to the torque of the 302 anyway.
If your talking about the 400(m) style motor then no it won't. The 400 has the "big block" bolt pattern, you would need a 4 sp from a big block motor to fit.
what year is the 302? (The bolting pattern varies) What transmission is it?
Answeryes, it would bolt up to both 302 and 351 . the 351 doesnt put out that much more turqe than 300-6 ,so it would hold up . another thing if you are going from atomatic to standard you must install a pilot bushing in the motor
no i bieleve bell housing is meant for np 435 302/351w possibly 255 also
As long as the 302 is from a similar year it will bolt right in. The only difference between the 289 and 302 is the 302 has a slightly longer stroke.
185@3800 RPM
Depends.if the bell ( where it covers the flywheel behind the motor) is a bog block.or small block bell housing. Like a small bell housing will bolt to a 302 and big bell.housing will bolt to.a 460
