why wont anyone answer my damm question i just wont use this web site anymore
Bad spark plugs, coils are coil, bad injector. Cam are crankshaft sensor
I would say a badcam or crank sensor. if not scan system for codes
IF IT IS A 4 CYL YOU PROBABLY HAVE A BAD CRANK SENSOR OR IGNITION MODULE.
Reasons why a 1987 Chevy Celebrity might not have a spark: 1. The crankshaft position sensor has failed. 2. The ignition module has failed. 3. The engine computer has failed. 4. There is a wiring problem. 5. It could also be failed coils, but I would not expect all three coils would fail at once.
on the back of the engine where the plug wires plug into the coil it is under the coils i had to remove the coils to get to it hard but can be done
If you have a bad cam sensor there will be no input sent to the computer signaling the position of the cam/crank...etc, and there will be no signal sent to the coils telling them to fire. So yes, a bad cam sensor will in part cause no spark. Try a new sensor, or pick one up for cheap from a junkyard.
it is next to the coils at the rear of the engin between the tranmission and the engin
No. Check the battery first. Then test for spark, fuel pressure, and test your coils.
NO it will not. You need to check the coils / coil, Plug wires, spark plugs, Distributor cap and rotor if it has one. You did not say what size the engine is that would help. You will need to scan the engine with a engine scanner more then likely to find the problem.
bad fuse, bad coils, bad ignition modual
impala cranking but not starting; replaced fuses, relays, fuel pump and igntion coils.
Check the ignition coils and the crank sensor for the Yukon. Either one of these could be bad and cause the problem.
